Spanning over 3,000 square feet and 18+ interactives, Health Connections at the Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC) in Sacramento, CA explores the balance and interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and community health. Through digital interactives, visitors can input and survey their current activities and see how making small changes, such as taking a walk or meeting with friends can greatly improve their overall well-being. Other interactives include light boxes contrasting Sacramento’s barren past with its current tree-filled and thriving community today, a series of panels with cut-outs that invite visitors to adjust their body position to walk through, and surround-sound headphone boxes that sample and identify common sounds from the area.

In collaboration with Blue Rhino and Trivium Interactives, Ravenswood took a holistic approach from project conception to completion. This included design team consultation, early concept prototyping, programming, printing, fabrication, and installation. Despite a tight timeline, the partnership between our team, our clients at MOSAC, and our collaborators was imperative to delivering this expansive exhibition, balancing clean, modern aesthetics, with a sense of fun and immersive engagement.
