Santa Clara County Library District invites patrons to explore the intersection of nature and technology through innovative playspaces spread across seven branches. Each site blends familiar environments with imaginative elements inspired by the landscapes of Santa Clara Valley, creating a whimsical world where children can explore and dream. These spaces seamlessly blurring the lines between nature and technology through the power of play.

Ravenswood Studio partnered with the Library to craft an immersive experience grounded in play, aesthetics, and storytelling. Vibrant landscapes and a cast of characters guide children through the spaces while allowing freedom for self-led exploration. Through active, imaginative, and collaborative play, children can engage their senses and curiosity in dynamic environments tailored to their growth.

Drawing on extensive research and local input, each playspace reflects the unique cultural and natural identity of its branch neighborhood. From Earthen Excursion to Railway Rollick, children can connect with their community through activities that highlight Santa Clara’s distinctive features. Each playspace includes areas for active, movement-based play, complement, quieter zones, and reserved under 3-years-old playspaces.
