Following the 24th anniversary of September 11, the Warhawk Air Museum unveiled an expansion of its War on Terror exhibit. Years in the making, the expansion occupies a former airplane hangar behind the museum’s main building and features multiple display cases dedicated to the stories of Idaho veterans.

The glass cases hold memorabilia, photographs, and gear donated by veterans, offering a personal perspective on the events and conflicts that followed September 11. The exhibit traces the history from the attacks on the World Trade Center through the ensuing conflicts in the Middle East. Above the displays, faux newspaper pages evoke the papers that filled the air after the Twin Towers were struck.
